Ashiatsu Barefoot Floor Fundamentals

This class is perfect for massage therapists who want to to explore the world of barefoot massage while keeping their feet on the ground. You'll learn barefoot Thai massage techniques for the lower body and upper extremities (applied over the sheet or clothing) and ashiatsu techniques with cream/oil for the upper back, neck and shoulders. 

The main objective of this course is to present principles of barefoot massage application related to pressure delivery, weight distribution, core strength, stamina and flexibility AND to allow massage therapists an opportunity to practice a full body barefoot massage sequence on the mat that doesn't require a cable-release table or a support system attached to the ceiling or the table. At the end of this course you will have a full body barefoot massage sequence for the floor that, with a little practice, you can share with your clients as a one hour session.

This is a live training event in Memphis, TN. 

Prerequisite: Licensed Massage Therapist (you will be asked to provide your license # and state)

In order to satisfy the State of Tennessee and Shelby County guidelines for close-contact businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic we must properly wear a cloth mask/face covering while inside the main building and the training studio.

Additionally, please do not come to class if you are sick, running a fever, having any symptoms of illness or have recently been around someone who is sick, running a fever or experiencing signs of illness.

For out of town students : The training facility is located in the main business district of East Memphis on the border of the city of Germantown. Any search for lodging in the 38138, 38120 and 38119 zip codes will put you within a short drive. The Hilton Garden Inn of Germantown is the closest and across the street. The airport is approx. 11 miles. Downtown is approx. 20 miles. 

There is a Kroger grocery store across the street and many restaurants in walking distance or a short drive to/from training facility.
