Details & Registration

14CE BAREFOOT IMMERSION TRAINING Level 1 - Supine and Prone Positions - Two Day Course Prerequisite: Licensed Massage Therapist (you will be asked to provide your license # and state) Well, bars just aren't an option in your space right now OR you just want to work with your feet on the ground. No problem, this course is for you!  Practice the principles of barefoot massage related to pressure delivery, weight distribution, core strength, stamina and flexibility.

You'll learn how to stand on the floor and use one foot to apply Thai-style compressions over clothing along the major energy lines of the extremities Then, sit on a short stool and use your feet and cream or oil to apply gliding ashiatsu strokes to the back, neck and shoulders.

Ashiatsu and Thai massage blend seemlessly together in this complete barefoot floor sequence for client prone and supine positions that is also suitable for mobile massage sessions because no overhead bars or straps are required.

As a note : You are NOT required to take the Barefoot Floor Fundamentals course as a prerequisite to any of our core table and bar ashiatsu immersion courses but many therapists choose to do so as a way to become more familiar with the modality, our teaching style and the basic principles of ashiatsu barefoot massage practice. Plus, in this course you will learn a full body sequence that, with some practice outside of class, you can start sharing with your clients to introduce them to the modality while practicing the balance and control you'll need if you take any table and bar courses in the future!

In class we will practice on mats on the floor but the sequence works flawlessly on a massage table lowered all the way to the ground.
