Table Thai Acupressure

At the end of the course you will be able to demonstrate a Thai-style acupressure treatment on the table for the arms, legs and back that can be applied over the sheet, clothing or directly on the skin without lubricant. You'll learn how to use your palms and thumbs to open and clear pathways of movement and energy to allow the body to better adapt to stress. Feel all lines and points from your instructor and share plenty of practice time with your classmates. Come prepared to be drawn on with washable, non-toxic markers!

This is a live training event instructed by approved presenter Jeffrey Elkins in Memphis, TN. 

Jeffrey is a graduate of the Florida School of Massage in Gainsville, FL, a Master Five Element Acupuncturist and a Thai massage practitioner trained at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Jeffrey enjoys engaging in discussions with his students about traditional Thai and Chinese healing practices. His students report that he has a fun, laid-back teaching style and is both a thorough and patient instructor. 

Prerequisite: Licensed Massage Therapist (you will be asked to provide your license # and state)

Supplies:

pen, notebook

fitted sheet and face rest cover

cloth face mask

short, clean, smooth fingernails

Socks and a sweater in case you get cold

Wear unrestrictive clothing that's easy to move around in

Class is 9am - 5pm each day and we take one hour for lunch around 12:30pm. We also take short breaks between activities so please bring your own water and snacks. 

*Please do not come to class if you or someone you have been around recently is sick, running a fever or experiencing symptoms of illness.

We are located on the northeast corner of Kirby/Poplar on the first floor of the Forum 1 Building.  *Sometimes the GPS will identify the city as Germantown 38138. Please park and enter through the north (front) entrance. There is a Kroger grocery store across the street and many restaurants in walking distance or a short drive to/from training facility.

For out of town students : The training facility is located in the main business district of East Memphis on the border of the city of Germantown. Any search for lodging in the 38138, 38120 and 38119 zip codes will put you within a short drive. The Hilton Garden Inn of Germantown is the closest and across the street. The airport is approx. 11 miles. Downtown is approx. 20 miles.
