Course Description

This course includes a massage and stretch sequence for the feet, legs, hips, back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands with client in prone and side-lying positions. Participants utilize hands, thumbs, forearms knees and feet to apply Thai techniques while sitting, lunging, half-kneeling and full-kneeling on and around the massage table. Participants also identify cultural concepts related to the practice of Thai massage.

Learning Outcome

  1. Students will demonstrate proficiency in Thai massage applications for client prone and side-lying positions. 

  2. Students will demonstrate understanding of related cultural and theoretical concepts by completing a short, written quiz at the end of class.


No previous experience required. *This course counts as 21hrs of the 70hrs core coursework requirement for the Primary Table Thai Program.


Three days of training (21 CE) that present a choreographed sequence for client in prone and sidelying positions. Practitioners will practice sitting, lunging, half-kneeling and full kneeling on and around the table to effectively apply stretching and compression techniques to the major muscle groups and energy lines of the body.
