Pha Khao Ma Thai Massage

Pha Khao Ma refers to a traditional Thai cloth that is used for various purposes in everyday life. It can be worn as a sarong and used as a towel or even a baby carrier wrapped around the body! This class explores the use of Pha Khao Ma as a massage tool that assists with the fluid execution of traditional Thai massage techniques on the mat. The methodical wrapping of the cloth allows massage practitioners to move deeper into stretches and compressions by providing more leverage and enhancing body alignment. At the end of this course practitioners will demonstrate a full body sequence of techniques that utilize a Thai-style cloth. This sequence can be used as a stand alone treatment or integrated into sessions as indicated.
