Details & Registration

LMTs, join us in Memphis for a fun, immersive weekend of Thai Massage training on the mat. Previous Thai Massage experience is not required to enjoy sharing all of the incredible new bodywork techniques you will learn in class. Current Thai Massage practitioners, join us to reinvigorate and inspire your current practice with new moves for supine, prone, side lying and seated positions.

TRAINING

Our Thai Massage courses are designed to build upon the principles of professional touch that are taught in massage school. Therefore, we require our students to have a license to practice massage therapy as a prerequisite to taking our Thai Massage courses. Having this prerequisite allows us to place a strong focus on technique application during our classes.

All Thai massage techniques are taught on a cushioned mat on the floor, requiring participants to sit, kneel and move around on the floor to complete the class.  LMTs who wish to add mat-based Thai Massage to their menu of services are strongly advised to prepare to purchase a mat (if they don't have one already) and complete practice sessions immediately after each class. Post-class practice is considered the self-study component to each mat CE course.

At the end of the weekend immersion training LMTs will receive a CE certificate of completion to verify board approved continuing education and satisfy massage licensure renewal requirements. Additionally, LMTs will have a unique sequence of techniques that can be used as a stand-alone treatment or integrated in with other techniques as indicated with each client.

SCHEDULE OF CLASSES

November 8th, 2025 8am - 5pm : Thai Side + Rooted with Jonathan Steinberg

8CE This course includes an introduction to Thai Massage principles, such as history, lineage, and Sen Theory, all of which offer a foundation for the practice and application of Thai Massage techniques. Thai massage compressions, wedges, stretches, and jostles will be demonstrated and rehearsed in order for therapists to develop their own 30 to 60-minute Side lying and Seated Thai Massage Treatment or for integration of Thai Massage into table massage treatments.

November 9th, 2025 8am - 5pm : Pha Khao Ma with Charlene Gaffney

8CE Learn Thai Massage techniques for supine, prone and seated positions on the mat that utilize the Thai cloth. Stretch, press, pull, lift and move your clients into a new state of openness with an energizing sequence of Thai Massage manipulations performed with the Thai cloth/scarf. Practitioners will enjoy the ease of effort provided by the cloth while performing joint mobilization and acupressure techniques that release movement restrictions and restore body balance. Techniques can be used as a stand alone treatment or integrated in to your current Thai Massage practice as desired/indicated.
