ABOUT THE THAI MASSAGE TRAINING

Course Title : Thai Massage Mat Sequence A

Course Description : Students will learn foundational techniques necessary for administering a full body Thai Massage on the mat for client supine, prone and seated positions. Rhythmic compression, acupressure, passive joint movement and stretches are applied to the feet, legs, arms, back, shoulders and head using the practitioner’s hands, feet and entire body. This course also covers the history and philosophy of Thai Massage including the wai khru ceremony and sen energy lines while maintaining a strong focus on the hands-on learning experience. Thai Massage Mat Sequence A and Thai Massage Mat Sequence B are complementary courses presented by Elevate Massage Training and can be taken at any time and in any order. Both courses are beginner-friendly and provide clear instruction for LMTs who wish to offer clothed, mat-based bodywork in their practice. 24CE

This weekend immersion is a beginner-friendly, all LMT levels welcome, 24CE event for licensed massage therapists. Learn how to apply Thai Massage techniques on the mat, enhance a current skillset and earn CE credit for licensure renewal. All Thai massage techniques are taught on a cushioned mat on the floor, requiring participants to sit, kneel and move around on the floor to complete the class.  LMTs who wish to add mat-based Thai Massage to their menu of services are strongly advised to prepare to purchase a mat (if they don't have one already) and complete practice sessions immediately after each class. Post-class practice is considered the self-study component to each mat CE course.

Our Thai Massage courses are designed to build upon the principles of professional touch that are taught in massage school. Therefore, we require our students to have a license to practice massage therapy as a prerequisite to taking our Thai Massage courses. Having this prerequisite allows us to place a strong focus on technique application during our classes. Previous Thai Massage experience is not required to enjoy sharing all of the incredible new bodywork techniques you will learn in class. Current Thai Massage practitioners, join us to reinvigorate and inspire your current practice.

At the end of the weekend immersion training LMTs will receive a CE certificate of completion to verify board approved continuing education and satisfy massage licensure renewal requirements. Additionally, LMTs will have a unique sequence of techniques that can be used as a stand-alone treatment or integrated in with other techniques as indicated with each client.
