Endorsement : A Distinguished, Advanced Credential

To avoid confusion with the regulatory boards of the massage profession Elevate Massage Training uses the term endorsement instead of certification to describe the credential granted to licensed massage therapists who complete all the requirements of our advanced track of study.

Our endorsement program is assessment-based. This means that there are no annual fees or recertification requirements. We will teach you a set of skills then assess your proficiency through one-on-one evaluations and community interaction. Training is limited to 6 students in the class.

All courses are taught on a cushioned mat on the floor. Every training focuses on :

• a logical sequence of techniques for the entire body

• the fundamentals of positioning and transitioning

• appropriate practitioner body mechanics

• sen lines, acupressure, passive stretching

• Thai massage theory and integration

• general principles for giving a balanced and flowing Thai Massage session with a meditative state of mind

LMTs are guided through equipment requirements properly set up to give a Thai Massage. You will also have the option to order a Thai Massage Mat on the first day of class for an additional fee. (approx. $400 for our recommended mat)

This training includes a total of 72 NCTMB approved CE credits and is MS Approved!

Investment

The total cost of the the training is $2,400 for all three trainings, 72CE credits, course manuals and a certificate of endorsement upon completion of all course requirements.

An initial payment of $800 is due to reserve your space in the training

Two additional payments of $800 are due on August 15th and September 31st

To earn Elevate Ashiatsu Certificate of Endorsement students must :

• complete the following three courses : Thai Massage Sequence A, Thai Massage Sequence B, Thai Massage Therapeutics

• complete and document twenty (20) ninety minute (90min) Thai Massage sessions - 10 must be completed after Sequence A and 10 must be completed after Sequence B

• have a functional treatment space ready and available to practice in based on Elevate Massage Training guidelines

• receive and review a professional Thai Massage session from an approved Thai Massage practitioner

• perform a 90min session on your instructor or an approved Thai Massage practitioner for feedback

• complete all online course requirements, quizzes/exams and sessions designs

Instructor Charlene Gaffney is a licensed massage therapist, professional massage instructor and certified yoga instructor. She began studying and practicing Thai Massage in the USA in 2008 and took her first study trip to Thailand in 2014. In 2017 Charlene began writing and teaching NCTMB approved Thai Massage classes for Elevate Massage Training based on her frequent return trips to Thailand plus nearly two decades of teaching experience in both the massage school and continuing education sectors of the industry. Her style is informed by many years offering Thai Massage services in private practice and ongoing training with respected Thai Massage teachers and schools in the USA and Thailand including The Fine Art of Thai Massage School and the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai.
