Thai Side + Rooted

Course Title : Thai Side and Rooted:: Thai Massage Compressions, Wedges, Stretches, & Jostles (Side Lying and Seated)

Course Description : This course includes an introduction to Thai Massage principles, such

as history, lineage, and Sen Theory, all of which offer a foundation for the practice and

application of Thai Massage techniques. Thai massage compressions, wedges, stretches, and

jostles will be demonstrated and rehearsed in order for therapists to develop their own 30 to

60-minute Side lying and Seated Thai Massage Treatment or for integration of Thai Massage into table massage treatments.

About the Instructor : Jonathan became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in 2010 and a Master Massage Therapist (MMT) in 2017. He has been practicing across the country and the Caribbean throughout that time. In New York City, he trained in Swedish Massage, Tui Na (a technique derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine), Therapeutic/Rehabilitative, Pre/Post Natal, and Thai Massage. After completing his Thai Massage training in NYC, he moved to Thailand to continue his education with his teacher’s teacher! Jonathan has had the privilege of utilizing all these techniques in many different settings, such as Doctor’s offices, Physical Therapy & Neurology Clinics, spas and fitness centers, as well as working remotely offering chair massage at many corporate events and health fairs.

He has completed his 500 hour Advanced Yoga Training with Circle Yoga Shala in NW Arkansas. He is an Associate member of Ortho-Bionomy® & recently completed his training in Ashiatsu Massage.

Jonathan, or “J,” is excited to bring the East Coast Class and the New Jersey pride to Arkansas and Eastern Livity. He spent the first few decades of his life on the East Coast growing up and having many adventures, including going to school for acting, before he finally met his wife, Holland, and started the creative journey of a business and life down South. In 2022, he welcomed his beautiful daughter, Luna, to the world–making life that much sweeter!

Jonathan has a gift for helping people address their physical issues–whether they are due to injury, stress, neglect, or over-work. Clients can expect an open, laid back dialogue and atmosphere with the intent of achieving goals and leaving refreshed and relieved.

Thai Side + Rooted is one of three Thai Massage foundation courses Jonathan is offering with Elevate Massage Training in 2026. You may choose to sign up for a single day OR sign up for all three :

You may also choose to sign up for Jonathan's advanced class on December 13th but you must have some previous experience with Thai Massage in order to participate. That experience can include one or more of his foundational courses mentioned above or any training on the mat with another instructor.
