The Ashiatsu Certificate Track starts with our three Signature Immersion Courses followed up with structured practice and professional development requirements that ensure you don’t just learn the work—you integrate it confidently into real sessions.

What's the difference between the signature Courses on the certificate track and the Ashiatsu ce workshops?

Our Ashiatsu CE Workshops are a great way to explore the world of barefoot massage at a relaxed pace, earn CE credits and/or refresh a current skillset.

The Ashiatsu Certificate Track is a learning pathway for serious LMTs who want to move beyond the weekend CE Workshops into a deeper learning experience. Our three Signature Ashiatsu Immersion Courses (that also offer CE credits) are designed as a progressive training program and must be taken in order : Sequence A, Sequence B and Therapeutics.

The coursework in the Ashiatsu Certificate Track is designed to prepare LMTs to create a safe, functional treatment space where they can deliver high-quality barefoot massage experiences that exceed client expectations.

If you're ready to build a strong foundation for long-term success in barefoot massage, the Ashiatsu Certificate Track can help you achieve that goal.

Step 1: Complete Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Sequence A

24 CE Credits | 3 Days

Your Ashiatsu journey begins with Sequence A, where you'll learn the foundational techniques necessary to perform a complete full-body Ashiatsu massage in both prone and supine positions.

During this course, students learn:

  • Flowing, deep, lubricant-based massage techniques for the back

  • Treatment of the hips, legs, and feet

  • Proper use of overhead bars for balance and support

  • One-foot Ashiatsu application techniques

  • Therapeutic stretches and compressions

  • Upper body techniques performed from a seated position

  • The history and philosophy of Ashiatsu

  • Treatment room setup and equipment requirements

  • Bar construction and installation guidelines

Upon completion, therapists gain the confidence to begin offering foundational Ashiatsu treatments in their practice.

Step 2: Advance Your Skills with Sequence B

24 CE Credits | 3 Days

After successfully completing Sequence A, therapists can progress to Sequence B, which expands upon the techniques learned in the foundational course.

This advanced training includes:

  • Detailed Ashiatsu treatment for the feet and legs

  • Two-foot Ashiatsu techniques for enhanced pressure and flow

  • Additional stretches and compressions

  • Expanded upper body treatment approaches

  • Advanced stool work at the head of the table

  • Bar support system safety and maintenance

  • Service menu development and treatment planning

  • Best practices for introducing Ashiatsu to existing clients

Prerequisite: Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Sequence A

Sequence B helps therapists build confidence, efficiency and versatility while delivering more advanced treatments.

Step 3: Master Therapeutic Applications

Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Therapeutics

24 CE Credits | 3 Days

The Therapeutics course focuses on refining technique, improving body mechanics and increasing therapeutic effectiveness.

Students learn:

  • Creative transitions and treatment flow

  • Client-specific treatment sequencing

  • Tools that support therapeutic barefoot massage applications

  • Side-lying protocols for greater accessibility

  • Specialized work for the hips, shoulders, and spine

Prerequisites: Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Sequence A and Sequence B

This course helps therapists move beyond routine treatment and develop a more customized, results-driven approach.

Step 4: Complete Certificate Requirements

To earn the Ashiatsu Endorsement Certificate, therapists must successfully complete all three Signature Ashiatsu Immersion Courses:

  • Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Sequence A (24 CE)

  • Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Sequence B (24 CE)

  • Ashiatsu Therapeutics (24 CE)

In addition, certificate candidates must:

  • Complete 20 documented practice sessions

  • Pass a skills assessment with an instructor or approved practitioner

  • Set up and maintain a fully functional Ashiatsu treatment space according to Elevate Massage Training guidelines

  • Install and maintain a safe bar support system

  • Receive and evaluate a professional Ashiatsu session from an approved practitioner

  • Complete all assigned online coursework, quizzes, exams, case studies and session design projects - these assignments will come directly from your instructor upon completion of each class

LMTs may work through certificate requirements at their own pace. The recommended pace is to complete all courses and related requirements within one year. We occasionally offer the Ashiatsu Certificate Fast Track that allows for coursework to be completed within a 3 - 6 month period.

Why Pursue A Certificate in Ashiatsu?

Completion of the Certificate Track demonstrates a commitment to excellence and provides therapists with the skills necessary to confidently offer safe, effective Ashiatsu treatments.

Beyond mastering a unique modality, therapists often discover:

  • Increased career opportunities

  • Greater earning potential

  • Reduced physical strain compared to traditional deep tissue massage
