14CE TABLE THAI IMMERSION TRAINING Prerequisites : Licensed Massage Therapist Take a two-day journey through the multi-faceted modality of Thai Massage. At the end of this course you will be able to demonstrate a full-body selection of Thai Massage techniques that have been adapted for table bodyworkers including : a basic Thai foot reflexology treatment, sen line acupressure for the arms and legs, a detailed, lower body stretch sequence and a shoulder mobilization series. You will use your hands, thumbs, elbows and feet to apply table Thai Massage techniques with the client clothed in supine and side lying positions. You will also identify Thai Massage as a holistic healthcare treatment and a branch of Traditional Thai Medicine, practice Thai Yoga self-care exercises and share a neck and shoulder treatment with your partner using Thai herbal balm. Tuition includes a manual with photos and use of Thai herbal balms in class. All levels welcome, beginner-friendly. Therapist positions used : standing with one foot or both feet on the floor, sitting on the edge of the table, sitting and kneeling on the table behind the client who is sitting on the edge of the table. Most moves do not require the LMT to climb completely on the table with the client.
Thai Massage is experiencing a rapid growth in popularity for its benefits of relieving muscle tension, clearing restricted patterns of movement, stimulating energy flow and restoring balance. Students will learn a variety of useful Thai massage acupressure, joint mobilization and stretching techniques that have been adapted for the table and receive logistical sequencing tips for integrating them into a session.
This event is being held at the Holiday Inn Express on Gulfport Beach. The hotel sits right across from the beach with views of the Gulf of Mexico from the guest rooms and conference center.

Room reservations include breakfast. You can plan to have dinner on your own at one one the many restaurants in nearby downtown Gulfport or anywhere along the beautiful stretch of MS Gulf Coast Beach Blvd.
Water and coffee will be provided throughout the training day.
Instructor Charlene Gaffney has been a licensed massage therapist for 21+ years and has over 18 years of teaching experience in both entry-level and continuing education environments. She is a registered instructor with the Thai Healing Alliance International, a Certified Massage and Bodywork Educator with the AFMTE and the founder/curriculum specialist for Elevate Massage Training.
